FAQ about insulation
How does spray foam work?
SPF, a spray-applied cellular plastic, is made by mixing chemicals to create foam. Those chemicals react very quickly, expanding on contact to create a foam that insulates, air seals, and provides a moisture barrier.
Do you have to leave your house during Spray Foam Insulation?
The standard industry answer, per the EPA, under conditions where the chemicals fully react, appears to be that everyone should stay out for at least 24 hours, maybe up to 72 hours. And the site should be well ventilated during this period too.
Why is Fiberglass used for insulation
It is made of recycled glass fragments and pure sand. It is available in the shape of blankets or sheets. Thanks to the soft structure of glass fiber insulation, irregularities can easily be removed.
How does Blow insulation work.
Loose-fill fiber glass insulation utilizes a professional blowing machine for installation in open spaces to fill hard-to-reach areas like corners, edges and around framing. As a premium alternative to cellulose, it does not settle or decay, and can effectively provide insulation for the life of the home.
How does bat insulation work
Batt insulation can be used to insulate floors, walls, ceilings, and attics.
